Our Story
Civilian Refit was founded by two brothers. One is an Army Vet. The other is an expert coach. When Austin, the Army Vet, left the army, he was confronted with the reality that he wasn’t actually sure what he wanted to do. In fact, he almost stayed in longer to avoid the complications of making that decision. Joe, the coach, worked with Austin to create something that could service members with the same questions feel confident in their decisions and own their transitions.
Now we have partnered to create something unique and different. We don’t want you to just put together some decent application materials and do work that pays the bills. We want you to find work that you actually want to do, something that will bring a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
Civilian Refit is the combination of Austin's over seven years of military experience (not to mention ROTC programs and current work for Michigan's Veteran's Department) and Joe's decade plus of adult education and professional coaching experience (not to mention his Master's degree in Adult Education and multiple coaching certifications from internationally accredited organizations like Gallup and ICF). We put all of who we are into help you become all of who you can be outside of the military.
